What Inspires you to create?
Mostly my need to give.

Describe your creative process.
I most of the time begin with a design sketch, choose stones, cut and shape the metal, solder the metal and set the stones. That is the highly condensed version.

How has your art evolved over the years?
Evolved? I began with wire wrapping and beading. After I took my first soldering workshop, I was hooked. From that day forward, I used a torch.

What Inspires you to create?
Organic materials, geometry (I taught it), beautiful stones & pearls just waiting to be used.

Describe your creative process.
I start with a relatively clean & organized studio. I can't create in a mess.  I look at organic materials I've collected, including gemstones & pearls. I start investigating new combinations to see what looks interesting, then I try them out.  I seek out new techniques to blend with existing ones to create totally new processes.

How has your art evolved over the years?
I started with fairly traditional jewelry processes, then developed ideas & processes that are unique to me. I've invested in more expensive gemstones, metals & pearls over the years.

About Tim
My intention is to leave the world more beautiful than I found it. To that end, I paint. My art is an attempt to represent my vision of the majestic saguaro and its surroundings by combining the serene beauty of the Arizona desert with bold colors and vibrant abstracts.
