I’m a local artist and have shown my oil landscape paintings in Arizona’s fine art galleries for 40 years. It all began when I started painting and became a founding member of the Central Arizona Backpackers’ Association … I felt a true passion to paint the peace and tranquility of the lands I experienced. That’s still a hallmark of my paintings.
My travels and paintings soon expanded to Jackson Hole, Aspen, and Santa Fe, and their fine art galleries. My work has been shown in Arizona Highways, a national “Paint the Parks, Top 100” touring show, and a Best of Scottsdale Show and Gala.
I love teaching and have been a local art instructor at the renowned Scottsdale Artists’ School for almost 10 years. I’m a member of Oil Painters of America and am on the critique team of the Scottsdale Artists’ League.

I paint realistic landscape oil paintings, primarily Arizona scenes. I like to use a landscape's pattern of lights and shadows to develop a more dramatic interpretation.

My inspiration comes from the beauty of our Arizona landscapes in state and national parks. The grandeur of the deep space in the Grand Canyon and the formations of Sedona's red rocks are not only inspiring, they are challenging and interesting to paint... and unforgettable!
