I have always had a passion for unique jewelry design. In 2014, when I retired from a thirty-year career in the corporate world, I redirected that passion from collecting to creating. My fascination with bead weaving led me to discover the art of beaded kumihimo, a contemporary adaptation of the ancient Japanese art of braiding with fibers.
I strive for comfortably elegant pieces, that can be worn effortlessly. My work often incorporates hundreds (and sometimes thousands!) of glass seed beads, as well as semi-precious gemstones, crystals, hand-blown glass, and metal beads. I love the tactile experience of beading, and the ever-evolving combination of techniques, colors and textures.
I am a member of the Sonoran Arts League, the American Kumihimo Society, and the Phoenix Area Kumihimo Study Group.

I specialize in contemporary bead-woven and beaded kumihimo jewelry. I strive for comfortably elegant pieces that can be worn effortlessly. My work often incorporates unique lamp-worked glass, semi-precious gemstones, crystal, and various metals in addition to hundreds (and often thousands) of tiny glass “seed” beads. I weave these elements together into beaded jewelry.

I take inspiration from the shapes, colors, and texture of the materials I work with. Each material has a unique personality that influences the design to move in a particular direction. The seemingly endless combinations of colors, techniques and materials continue to amaze and inspire me.
