I create my artworks with hand selected pure wools, cottons & precious finds from all over the world - collected while studying, living & traveling internationally.
Creating my fiber mixed media sculptures allows me to use the traditional techniques & mediums I have acquired throughout my formal art education & my career as an art educator & artist.
One sculpture - inspired by one country - landscape, architecture & culture.
Producing while traveling & in my studio - sculptures take weeks to months to create.
Stitch by stitch, coil by coil, with hand & needle, I weave my international pure wools around cotton. I further build & incorporate ceramic, wood & metal forms - adding painting, drawing & my precious finds.
My artworks are tactile, helping to connect, feel & evoke the senses. Making a statement with natural, earthy, organic materials & forms – displaying a “Piece of the World”.
My sculptures are meant to flow & easily be sat or hung in any shape or designed space. Each piece stands strong alone or beautifully unites with others – uniting global natural beauty.
Creating Fiber Mixed Media, allows me to add in all the other media I love, and have studied and taught, adding variety not only in material but also textures, shapes, and endless possibilities. -
The coil method (of wrapping and sewing with a needle, and many, many stitches) was the technique that I became captivated with and use to this day.

I am curious, love to learn, try new things and create. I have both taken and taught art classes in my adult life, which feeds and fuels my joy of learning.
